Precision electromechanical subassembly on an engineering workbench

Order a custom mechatronic part or a tested subassembly.

Illuminious is a U.S. NPI engineering company. Custom Mechatronic Parts & Assemblies covers sourced or fabricated mechanisms, electromechanical parts and tested subassemblies, scoped online and priced by an engineer. Engineered in San Francisco. Prototype builds, DFM and mass production in our own factory in Shenzhen. Upload your files, get a free engineering review, and pay only the official quote that review publishes.

Put CAD, drawings, BOM, interfaces, loads and test requirements in one versioned project. An engineer scopes the make-or-buy decisions, then a specialist sends the price.

Two ways in: configure it online and a specialist prepares your official quote within 24 hours on business days, or send the job to an engineer. Engineering review is free either way and comes before you pay.

An engineer reviews every order. Account required before the persistent configurator opens. Engineering review is free and comes before payment, and payment does not authorize production.

Is your assembly a catalog part or a scoped build?

  • Custom mechanisms and housings
  • Sourced and fabricated part combinations
  • Motor, sensor, wiring, and bearing assemblies
  • Prototype, pilot, and controlled production scope
Typical orders
Custom prototypes, pilot lots, and repeat assemblies after scope and sourcing approval.

A shared order lifecycle with service-specific depth.

The configurator collects the factors that drive a responsible preliminary amount. Engineering then reviews the exact source revision, assumptions, and approvals that control release.

Functional scope

Define the objective, phase, quantity, envelope, interfaces, motion, loads, duty, and success criteria.

Make or source

Record fabrication versus sourcing preference, approved alternates, supplier constraints, and traceability needs.

Assembly

Include fasteners, torque, adhesive, wiring, calibration, functional test, and packaging requirements.

Controlled plan

Engineering review produces an explicit sourcing/fabrication plan and identifies every approval needed before purchase or production.

What can you configure for custom mechatronic parts?

These are the ranges the Mechatronic Parts configurator accepts. Anything outside them is still orderable — it goes to an engineer through the outlined path instead of through the form.

How is a mechatronic assembly price built?

Lead time, and what each tier trades

Economy
A longer target lead time than Standard, for work that is not on a deadline. Takes a discount line off the price, never below the service minimum, shown before you commit.
Standard
The lead-time range quoted for your configuration, counted from approved files. No schedule charge. It is the price you were quoted.
Express
Shortens the standard range where the process and the queue allow it. Adds an expedite line, priced on your own configuration and shown before you commit.
  • Scope complexity, quantity, project phase, and engineering effort
  • Fabricated parts, sourced parts, supplier availability, and approved alternates
  • Assembly, wiring, calibration, functional test, and fixtures
  • Traceability, documentation, packaging, and target date
Quotation by a specialist. Quotation within 24 hours on business days. A specialist prices your exact Mechatronic Parts scope from your files and specifications. You submit your request online, and the quotation arrives in your account and by email. Review is free. Nothing is charged until you accept a quotation.

What engineering reviews

Customer approvals may include

  • Official sourcing and substitution plan
  • Fabrication and assembly scope
  • Any itemized balance, lead-time change, or production release
  • Functional objective, interfaces, motion, loads, tolerance stack, and environment
  • Buy-versus-make plan, supplier availability, lifecycle risk, and alternates
  • Assembly sequence, wiring, calibration, and test evidence
  • Prototype learning versus repeat-production controls

Free review first. Keep every later decision explicit.

  1. Create your account

Verify your email before the persistent quote workspace opens. Every file, estimate, message, and payment stays attached to that account.

  2. Configure and upload

Provide service-specific inputs and place technical files in private project storage. Saved drafts remain available across sessions.

  3. Free engineering review

Submit the configured cart at no charge. A reviewer checks the exact file and specification revision, then prices it or opens a documented question or correction request.

  4. Official quote

Review publishes an itemized quote with lead time and a validity window. That is the binding figure; anything shown earlier was a preliminary estimate.

  5. Accept and pay

Accepting opens payment rather than charging you. Lead time is counted from settled payment, and any later itemized revision needs your approval first.

  6. Produce and deliver

After all commercial, technical, and customer gates are complete, the project moves through the service-specific production or design milestones.

What this service is intended to produce.

A reviewed build or sourcing plan leading to a prototype, sourced part set, or tested mechatronic subassembly with controlled revisions.

Protected and traceable by default

Private files, immutable revisions, authenticated approvals, itemized commercial changes, and customer-visible history are part of the order system rather than a loose email trail.

Boundaries

  • No unverified public parts inventory is implied
  • Supplier availability is confirmed after review
  • Custom integration is priced by engineering review, not from a catalog

Answers before you start the workspace.

Why is there no catalog price for this service?

Illuminious does not claim a real-time universal parts inventory. Custom assemblies depend on interfaces, tolerances, source availability, make-or-buy decisions, assembly, test and target quantity. An engineer scopes that work in the free engineering review and prices it in the official quote.

Can I restrict substitutions?

Yes. Choose no alternates without approval, form/fit alternatives with approval, or allow engineering to propose alternatives. Nothing is silently substituted.

How is the final price approved?

The free engineering review comes first. Depending on the service you see a live supplier price, a published fixed price, or a price from a specialist within 24 hours on business days, and nothing is charged when you submit. After the review we publish an official quote with an itemized total, lead time and a validity window, and that is the amount you are asked to pay. Accepting the official quote opens payment rather than charging you. If a later correction changes scope or price, you see an itemized revision and can approve, question or decline it. We never silently charge an increase.

How are my CAD and BOM files protected?

Your technical files are stored in private project storage and accessed through short-lived authenticated links. Files, prices, replacements and approvals stay tied to your account and keep their revision history.

Get an official quote for Mechatronic Parts in your private workspace.

Your account preserves drafts, uploads, assumptions, quotation requests, payments, review questions, and approvals in one project record. An engineer reviews every order.

  1. An engineer runs a free engineering review of your files, and nothing is charged when you submit.
  2. You see the findings first.
  3. We publish the official quote with an itemized total, lead time and validity window.
  4. You accept the official quote, and only then does payment open.
