Polyimide flexible heater circuit with integrated leads and sensor

Order a flexible heater built around your thermal requirement.

Illuminious is a U.S. NPI engineering company. Flexible Heater covers custom polyimide and silicone-rubber heating circuits, configured online from an electrical and thermal requirement rather than a part number. Engineered in San Francisco. Prototype builds, DFM and mass production in our own factory in Shenzhen. Upload your files, get a free engineering review, and pay only the official quote that review publishes.

State the voltage, outline, duty, leads and sensors. An engineer checks power density and insulation in the free engineering review, before the official quote is published.

Two ways in: configure it online and a specialist prepares your official quote within 24 hours on business days, or send the job to an engineer. Engineering review is free either way and comes before you pay.

An engineer reviews every order. Account required before the persistent configurator opens. Engineering review is free and comes before payment, and payment does not authorize production.

Is a custom flexible heater the right answer to your thermal problem?

  • Custom polyimide heater circuits
  • Silicone-rubber heater applications
  • Integrated leads, NTCs, or thermostats
  • Prototype and controlled repeat production
Typical orders
Prototype through production quantities; all heaters require engineering review before release.
Source files
Gerber, DXF, or DWG for existing designs; structured electrical and thermal requirements for new work.
Accepted formats
ZIP, RAR, 7Z, PDF, PNG, JPG, JPEG, TXT, GBR, GER, DXF, DWG, XLS, XLSX

A shared order lifecycle with service-specific depth.

The configurator collects the factors that drive a responsible preliminary amount. Engineering then reviews the exact source revision, assumptions, and approvals that control release.

Heater construction

Capture substrate family, outline, dimensions, quantity, adhesive backing, and mechanical installation context.

Electrical basis

Describe voltage and the controlling power, resistance, or temperature objective together with operating duty.

Integration

Define lead length, termination, NTC or thermostat, pads, and any custom connector or sensor requirement.

Safety evidence

Record ambient, heat sinking, duty cycle, resistance tolerance, end use, and the approvals required before production.

What can you configure for flexible heaters?

These are the ranges the Flex Heater configurator accepts. Anything outside them is still orderable — it goes to an engineer through the outlined path instead of through the form.

Flexible Heater configurator bounds
ParameterAccepted range
Heater width5–1,200 mm
Heater height5–1,200 mm
Quantity1–10,000 heaters
Operating voltage0.1–600.0 V
Lead wire length0–5,000 mm

How is a flexible heater price built?

Lead time, and what each tier trades

Economy
A longer target lead time than Standard, for work that is not on a deadline. Takes a discount line off the price, never below the service minimum, shown before you commit.
Standard
The lead-time range quoted for your configuration, counted from approved files. No schedule charge. It is the price you were quoted.
Express
Shortens the standard range where the process and the queue allow it. Adds an expedite line, priced on your own configuration and shown before you commit.
  • Substrate, heater area, quantity, and circuit/setup work
  • Electrical design basis, resistance tolerance, and production verification
  • Adhesive, leads, terminations, sensors, and secondary operations
  • Environmental evidence, documentation, and requested lead time
Quotation by a specialist. Quotation within 24 hours on business days. A specialist prices your exact Flex Heater scope from your files and specifications. You submit your request online, and the quotation arrives in your account and by email. Review is free. Nothing is charged until you accept a quotation.

What engineering reviews

Customer approvals may include

  • Heater circuit or production file
  • Electrical or thermal assumption changes
  • Any added component, revised price, or lead-time change
  • Power density and resistance feasibility
  • Insulation, outline, trace pattern, duty cycle, and temperature assumptions
  • Lead, termination, sensor, adhesive, and installation details
  • End-use risk, test plan, and required production-file approval

Free review first. Keep every later decision explicit.

  1. Create your account

Verify your email before the persistent quote workspace opens. Every file, estimate, message, and payment stays attached to that account.

  2. Configure and upload

Provide service-specific inputs and place technical files in private project storage. Saved drafts remain available across sessions.

  3. Free engineering review

Submit the configured cart at no charge. A reviewer checks the exact file and specification revision, then prices it or opens a documented question or correction request.

  4. Official quote

Review publishes an itemized quote with lead time and a validity window. That is the binding figure; anything shown earlier was a preliminary estimate.

  5. Accept and pay

Accepting opens payment rather than charging you. Lead time is counted from settled payment, and any later itemized revision needs your approval first.

  6. Produce and deliver

After all commercial, technical, and customer gates are complete, the project moves through the service-specific production or design milestones.

What this service is intended to produce.

A reviewed heater specification with controlled electrical assumptions, integrated features, resistance test expectation, and production evidence.

Protected and traceable by default

Private files, immutable revisions, authenticated approvals, itemized commercial changes, and customer-visible history are part of the order system rather than a loose email trail.

Boundaries

  • A quote is not a thermal-safety approval
  • Installation and heat-sinking assumptions must be supplied
  • Medical, aerospace, battery, and unattended use need additional evidence

Answers before you start the workspace.

Can I start without a finished heater drawing?

Yes. Provide the outline, voltage, controlling power/resistance/temperature target, duty cycle, installation surface, heat sinking, ambient, and lead or sensor requirements. Review works from what you supply and asks for the rest before pricing; incomplete scope delays the official quote, it does not trigger a charge.

Does the price confirm a safe operating temperature?

No. The price covers the declared scope. The free engineering review evaluates power density, material, insulation, duty, environment, heat sinking and test requirements before release.

What happens if the reviewed design costs more?

The free engineering review comes first. Depending on the service you see a live supplier price, a published fixed price, or a price from a specialist within 24 hours on business days, and nothing is charged when you submit. After the review we publish an official quote with an itemized total, lead time and a validity window, and that is the amount you are asked to pay. Accepting the official quote opens payment rather than charging you. If a later correction changes scope or price, you see an itemized revision and can approve, question or decline it. We never silently charge an increase.

How are revisions handled?

A corrected drawing or changed electrical requirement creates a new immutable revision. The prior price and review decision stay visible in project history.
